Will we need lots of different currencies for the Baltic ports? If so do we need them at the port to pay for the bus etc?

Copenhagen is a 20 min walk into the city outside the cruise terminal there is a bus 23 which will take you to the city centre and runs till late in the evening and is every 15 mins. Becasue your on the constellation for stokholm and helsinki take the shuttle bus, helsinki is about a 30 min walk but for tallin walk from the port takes 15 mins but is nice to see the towers as you walk under them

Copenhagen - yes, it's a pleasant 45 minute walk along the front to Nyhavn - if the weather is good. Tallinn, we jumped on a ho ho bus at the port, but I believe it is walkable as I have read other reviews saying it is. Stockholm, if you are docked in the centre as we were (RCI Jewel of the Seas) we were right next to a ho ho boat, but there are a few different places that the cruise ships dock at in Stockholm, so try and find out the name of where your ship will be docking and take a look on Google Maps to get an idea. Helsinki - we were quite a way away from the centre and used the shuttle.

We enjoyed the walk into Tallin, very simple walk and lovely surroundings, like a fairy tale setting, good to savour the surroundings you're in if possilble. Also strolled into Helsinki no problem, found a car boot sale, which had some interesting items on show, in a market square, and explored the general area on foot. Had a coach ride into Stockholm and did a self discovery wander in the short time we had due to the late arrival in dock. We needed a coach trip to Copenhagen from where we docked, but had a restful day and will do that another time. Of course this will all depend on where your ship docks, enjoy your trip, we loved the Baltics.

Copenhagen - about 15 mins walk, which takes you past the mermaid and the royal yacht moored on the river. Tallinn - no more than 10 mins walk to the old town. Helsinki - a bit further, you'll really need to take the shuttle; roughly $12 for the round trip. Stockholm - not sure, we got diverted to another port and they put a bus on to get us there - however, understand you'll need a shuttle from the port, similar price to Helsinki. Hope this helps - have a great time :-) Cheers, Lynn
