STANTON - Answered a Question by Benham (02 Jul 08 21:25)

Hi - we too are sailing to Alaska in Sept 08 and i understand your concerns after reading some of the reviews! However, we went to Hawaii on the Infinity a couple of years ago and it was one of the nicest ships we have been on. The food was excellent - we never had a bad meal, we enjoyed the entertainment, we had a balcony cabin which was very comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean and the staff could not do enough for you - beware of the art auctions - we ended up with 17 paintings and prints and we only went along just to have a nose around ha ha!! We loved it, had a holiday of a lifetime and met all sorts of wonderful people and had no hesitation in booking the Alaskan cruise, as we had been on the ship before. Everyone has their own opinion of course but i seriously was beggining to wonder if there were 2 Infinitys from some of the reviews!! I guess some people arent happy unless they can moan about something! S0, do not fret, you will enjoy it and maybe we will meet on the ship!!

Celebrity is one of the best cruise lines in it's catagory. Infinity is a great ship. Unless you want casual, hooting and roaring or uncivilised company stay exactly where you are....booked with a great ship and cruise line. If I were you I'd worry more about crossing the road in foreign parts than that cruise......Nei.

Everyone has mixed views about different cruise lines and ships, mainly because people have higher standards than others and also because all they every do is complain, even at the slightest thing. Celebrity is as neil said, one of THE best 5 star cruise lines and will not fail you. I have cruised on galaxy before and had a splendid time, as did the many friends I met on board. Enjoy.

Conde Naste readers have voted the 4-Millennium class ships - of which Infinity is one - the 4 best cruise ships in the world for the umteenth year in a row. You have nothing to worry about.

Probably one of the best ships we have sailed in,you will have a great time, the food was very good, staff very attentive especially on my wife's birthday, but if you don't like dressing up now and again, then you can still do your own thing, but you will miss out on terrific food, and I'm a fussy eater.you will also miss out meeting friends who at present strangers. Enjo.

We cruised with Celebrity on "Infinity" to Alaska last August and had a great time. The ship is fine, lots of space, clean, good and varied food, helpful crew. Dont worry about the ship or the itinerary, just go and enjoy yourself. If you really want an unforgetable holiday either start or finish with a trip through the Rockies by train.

Have just been the Ultimate Alaska cruise on Infinity from San Francisco for 11 days - we had a Sky Suite complete with butler - all was wonderful - don't listen to the moaners: by the way, if you have any suite accommodation, you do not queue at length, we were boarded within 10-15 minutes of arrival - a cruise is what you make of it - some people go with the intention of finding faults and not attempting to speak to fellow travellers of staff - we have been on five celebrity cruises and have not had any major problems at all - forget the moaners! just go and enjoy.

Five Of My Favourites !

By Camilla Edwards

Well its very nearly Christmas and all I wish for now is some snow! Walking the dog this morning everywhere was frosty and white, made me really feel in the festive spirit. One of the best things personally at this time of the year is the food and celebrations associated with Christmas and New Year, so this week I have decided to blog about 5 of my favourite places to eat. Some on cruise ships, some not.Fed Olsen Balmoral. I always enjoy the food on Fred`s ships and Balmoral last year was no...

My final update on my recent trip on Independance of the seas is all about my dining experience.I can honestly say I was not disappointed with one meal I had.You can literally eat 24 hours a day. The group was on second sitting which was 8.30 in the main dining room The Romeo and Juliet. The choice in there was great something for everyone and the staff were very attentive and gave us their recommendations at every meal. Also in here you can have A la Carte Breakfast from 7.30am to 9.30am an...

Calling all Small Ship Lovers.

By Nicola Milligan

Nicola Milligan's blog

Cast your mind back to 2015. and the sad news when P & O told us that the much loved 710 passenger adult only ship ADONIA was leaving their fleet.Lots of the small ship lovers were devastated as so many huge new ships were coming onto the market leaving a vast hole for the smaller more intimate ships. We were told she was joining Fathom Cruises a line that enables guests to do something good to help out poorer countries. So Volunteers through tourism can help locals learn English and build...
