One should only wear a white tuxedo if you are in the tropics otherwise you run the risk of being mistaken for a waiter....!! People generally know how to dress on Celebrity cruises so the black tux should suffice.

What were the other Cruise Lines/Ships on your last? I would expect white /black Tux's to be prominent on Celebrity. On the Galaxy last August I witnessed 2 occasions of Gents without jackets refused entry in to the main DR on formal nights.

I always take the white tux whether Med or Caribbean and just back from a cruise in OZ and NZ. On the formal nights the waiters were white whears normally black, so I wouldn't worry. I would confirm more and more are going black and many just with a smart suit. On the last trip out of around 350 males only about 50 had a white tux.

A Port guide to Le Havre

By Trevor Smith

I’ve done a couple of cruises now that visit Le Havre but on both occasions, I chose to stay on the ship and enjoy the facilities there. Here is what I missed and what you could do when visiting this lovely French Town.A Taste Of Normandy Unlike the rest of France Normandy is blanketed in apple orchards instead of vineyards. For centuries these apples have been used to make a bubbly fermented cider and distilling that cid...

Me, my husband and my two children have just returned from a long weekend away in Southampton and on the Celebrity EclipseThe cruise was only two nights so I though to extend our little holiday by spending two nights in Southampton before the sailing and take them to a theme park. So we took them to Poulton Park which I highly recommend to families with young children. Great for 2 years old and up to the age of 6 yrs. Here we saw Peppa pig at Peppa pig’s world where all the themed attra...

Fancy a Movie Night in or Away?

By Haydn Jones

Haydn Jones's blog

There is nothing my family love more than cuddling up of a Sunday night , curtains closed, eating microwave popcorn and watching a movie. Its become a Sunday night tradition in our house. Although there is something my two boys love slightly more – movies under the stars on a cruise. We often end up missing the shows and evening entertainment, because for them this is the perfect treat. Sun loungers, blankets, hot chocolate and even pop corn and pizza bought to you whilst watching a fil...
