Just to add what Ross says but you can also get Euro's when on European trips obvisously, but in general it is a cashless society as all your payments for drinks, trips, photo's etc will be on your celebrity card with the exception of the casino and finally how you intend to pay your bill before departure and given the exchange rate $ against the £ just now credit cards are good value.
