Hi, we cruised Celebrity Summit in April, you can find a lot of trips when you get ashore, there is always someone trying to sell you one. Have a great time. Great ship and staff when we went, lovely Martini Bar.

Yes it is possible to do trips yourself if you do enough research. I would suggest googling the islands and seeing what it suggests. And try cruise critic for suggestions in their ports of call sectio.

Hi We did the Summit Hawaii cruise last May. We did our own tours, halk the price of Celebrity. Used websites to find trips. Did Lahaina island tour by taxi It followed Celebrity tour and we saved over 50%. Used taxi for Pearl Harbour and Wakiki tour.Same saving Best tip got was to book local taxi and share with other couples. Really good savings and locals know best places to go and gave fantastic running commentries. Overall cruise was brill and weather on first and last not hot but as we moved further south weather improved and became hot and sunny.Service was best we ever had. Little things like remembering your names and favourite drinks. Could not fault in any way. Only minor gripe was that the average age was quiet old and nightlife finished early. If you are cruising from Los angeles then a little tip is rather than waiting in the hotel scrum for coaches tell the rep that you are making own way to ship and they will transfer cases for you. we did this and had a nice 10 mins stroll to ship and boarded in about 10 minutes with no queue. Also complete online boarding as this saves plenty of time at embarkation. Have a great time Regards Norman and Barbara Penberthy.

I have recently returned off the Celebrity Reflection round the Caribbean. I must say I do like going away this time of the year to get a bit of sun breaks up our long winter!!I flew into Miami on the 24th February taking a direct flight with BA from Heathrow, after a 9-hour flight and then a 2 wait to get through passport control I finally arrived at my hotel for the evening. I stayed at the Marriot Courtyard Miami Beach South Beach which was in an ideal location for an overnight stay. ...

Until this year very few cruise lines have been allowed to call in to Cuba, but after a warming of relations since the Cold War a recent political agreement between Cuba and the U.S. means that this is all about to change. Airlines and cruise lines from the U.S. have been granted permission to transport passengers in to Cuba and the Cuban Tourism ministry are expecting around a 30% increase in visitors in 2017 alone. As MSC, Thomson and Fred Olsen have been sailing to Cuba for a few years, we ...

The River Cruise Line saved as...

By Richard Smith

I was shocked at the end of last week when I started to hear reports that The River Cruise Line could cease trading.I have personally sailed with The River Cruise Line in the past and had a great experience doing so. I think that they offer very good value for money and offer a product that can cost a lot less to book than some of their more luxurious rivals.Unfortunately Diamond Shortbreak Holidays Ltd who were the parent company of The River Cruise Line announced that they had to go i...
