BARNETT - Answered a Question by Willetts (25 Jan 09 22:35)

Hi there - we have found that p&o prices for beer and wine on board are equivalent to the prices in your local, but the prices on royal caribbean and celebrity are a lot more expensive, i was paying $5.70 last year on independence of the seas for a pint of draught beer, and on celebrity in 2006 i was paying around $6 for a tin of boddingtons, remembering the exchange rate at the minute is not very good. - hope this helps.

Recent reviews have stated that beer is now $7.50 on Independence of the Seas! I suppose it will stop people getting drunk.......

As you will be reading this I am away. I’m having a few days away in Poole, Dorset. We travelled down on Tuesday evening and are spending 3 nights here. We are staying at Rockley Park which is just a short drive away from Poole. Me and my husband have joined my mother in law and brother in law who went down on Sunday. As my mother in law owns a holiday home here they go down every year to open up the home ready for the season. Me and Jon travelled down last year which was o...

Is Cruising Getting Too Hi-Tec?

By Gina Rowan

Gina Rowan's blog

With the announcement of several new ‘innovative’ ‘groundbreaking’ ‘futuristic’ Mega-ships being built and released in 2018-19, I’m beginning to wonder if the cruise-lines are getting a bit ahead of themselves. Employing A-list global architects and designers to create all these new gadgets & gimmicks which promise to be ‘transformational’, ‘industry firsts’ which will ‘erase boundaries’ for the Sophistic...
