I have done Manhattan Cruise Terminal To JFK & taxi's were a nightmare, so I strongly recommend you book particularly the return journey back to JFK. We use Supershuttle, there are others, which is a shared ride 10 seater van, which means they may have a drop off on route, but you pay a fixed price per person. They have 'fixed journeys on their website so you email for a quote, they take a credit card details for deposit but this is only in case of no show. You pay the driver in cash. JFK to Newark Airport which is close to Cape Liberty was $19 per person just over a year ago, so expect slightly more.

There is the PATH train from Bayonne to JFK but I do believe this is about 3 miles from the port so this does mean a change of train from the cruise terminal. A cab will probably cost about $100 ship to airport & a taxivan for a larger group about $180/200......Wilba.

Hi Wilba, thanks for the info. as we are a family of 2 adults & 2 children and will no doubt have a decent amount of luggage in tow I don't fancy the train. I would rather pay the extra and have the comfort of going door to door. Is it best to book a transfer in advance or will there be plenty of cabs at the port able to take a family of 4 plus bags, what are your thoughts?

14 Years Old..Thinking about U...

By Ella Chapman

My head is spinning thinking about Universities for my 14 Year old son.Its far too early in my opinion to be thinking that far ahead. We are now currently having to choose his GCSE options, but he does have a very clear career path and knows that he wants to be a Sports Therapist. Some Universities do require a Modern Language at GCSE Level, which my son is not keen to do.However, my concern is that my son will not be attending University for 5 years, what if he changes his mind with what he...

Two Night Taster

By Dawn Gardener

Dawn Gardener's blog

Recently my parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, which happened to fall 2 days before Christmas. Up until a day before their anniversary I was stuck on what to get them. The only thing I knew that they would both really love is a cruise, as they are yet to experience a cruise and my mum has been wanting to do this for years. My dad is ex Royal Navy, so he was keen too, especially to see what sea would be like as a guest rather than working and also a bit more glamour than the sh...
