I think you should phone the freephone number and ask them as they don't seem to read these questions. People keep asking this, but there is no reply from www.CRUISE.co.uk.

As Star has been sold to a Spanish group and Escape is going to Thomsons, people who have recently sailed probably can't be bothered reviewing.

Hi Ann There had been recent and most helpful reviews of the Island Star sailing in the Caribbean but they have now vanished. They ought to be reinstated until March.

Hi Ashby, just found out that if you look at Thomson reviews (click on Escape)a few of the Stars' are there as well.

The Island Star was formerly the Celebrity ship Horizon and it had a major refit in 2005 and if you look under the Review page whilst Island Star has disappeared the former ship named Horizon has appeared so until a review is submitted under its new or former name there will be no information. If you look up Thomson Island Escape you will see the review page for this ship, again it will not fill up until passengers supply a review under its Thomson banner. Who mentioned Rm 101 !!!

Butterworth - Answered a Question by ASHBY (17 Jan 09 16:20)

Yes i assume because Island cruise lines have got rid of both ships the Star and Escape and so many bad reports are coming through from the last couple of carribean trips on the Star, e.g. 1 out of 10 etc. that i feel thats why its dissapeared. Ive also tried to find out the reason because we are on the next cruise in just over a week so going with trepidation, hope there are still some good points left.

Don't worry too much - we are going in February. There was a very useful review by Mr Skitt and he at my request added some helpful comments on flying TCX Thomas Cook Airlines from Gatwick to Barbados. His reviews basically stated that the holiday was fine, so were the crew. Obviously as the ship is changing hands shortly no money has been spent on improving the decor. Keep smiling and enjoy yourselves we intend to.

As most of you know we are off on Allure of the Seas in December. I went online and logged onto my personaliser to see what was there and most things are bookable already. I always recommend for people to log onto their cruise booking with the cruise line direct once a month as we never know when things are bookable. So far I have sorted out most of our entertainment. Our first night we have OceanAria I think I am most excited for this. I mean an Aqua Theatre on a cruise ship! This extravaganza...

P&O Cruises recently announced that that would be building a 9th ship to join the P&O Fleet in 2020. This comes only two years after the Britannia was released and I am pleased to say that after quite a few problems she has become a firm favourite in the P&O Fleet.Hopefully P&O will take forward the feedback on Britannia but we are yet to see what this new ship will look like; all P&O have said is that she will be 180,000 Gross tons and carry 5,200 Guests. This is the larg...
