Was in acapulco few years ago. we went by taxi to see divers do there day show. took about 15 mins to get there, but sorry cant remember the cost, but my husband says it wasnt expensive. we also went to the night show as an organised trip, both shows very dramatic. sorry cant remember the cost of that either. hope this helps.
We were on P&O Oceana's christmas cruise this year which started in Acapulco. We landed at 7am, were in our cabins for approx 10am and then got off the ship to go see the divers do the 1.00 show. We got a taxi for 20US dollars at the dockside, its about 10 mins away but through some very uphill and crowded areas (wouldn't reccomend walking). Driver was very good, informative about the divers, best place to watch etc, waited for us, and took us back to the ship. It was very very hot there while waiting for them to perform and theres no shade, but they were well worth seeing - Enjoy!
Taxis are not a problem, but will cost you much more outside the dock, however its easier, a tip I would give you is to buy a ticket to go in to the restaurant which overlooks the divers was around 10 dollers if my memory serves me right, but you get two free drinks within that, much better than standing in the hot sun.
