Neil & Ida Down - Answered a Question by miller (11 Dec 08 16:00)

I have lost count of the number of ships I have been on and, to date, I have never seen a lilo or anything resembling one in a pool. Knowing the size of pools on a ship two lilos would normally cover the whole surface, excuse me, I’ve got to stop typing to laugh. ……….Ohhhhh that’s better. Did you think that you might pack one or two to use? .... Neil.

The nearest thing I have ever seen to a lilo is childrens arm bands !! A lilo would take up too much of the pool and you would find yourself the object of derision and fury from fellow passengers.

Although no lilos in pools, if you are travelling to the caribbean there are lovely beaches where you may enjoy using a lilo.

Ships Collide !

By Richard Smith

Richard Smith's blog

Watch this video on YouTube.I was shocked earlier this week to read a story of the new Seabourn Encore ship colliding with another ship.It turns out that the collision was minor and thankfully no-one was hurt but what left me wondering was how something like this could happen in the first place. The new ship was docked in Timaru, New Zealand at the time and was actually delayed in departure due to the strong winds there. The ship ended up breaking it’s moorings due to the strong winds an...

Brilliant News For Solo Travellers!

By Michelle Fennelly

Michelle Fennelly's blog

As a single traveller the majority of cruise liners will charge at least 100% supplement on a twin berth cabin for sole occupancy; this is actually double the price which in my view it is just ridiculous. It isnt fair and its not acceptable and its about time most cruise liners understood that a lot of their guests do travel alone.Well my good news is that Fred Olsen are doing special offers for solo travellers, eventually a cruise liner that has listened to their guests. The deal Fred Olsen a...
