Most ships work on a cashless system where your credit card details are taken and your then issued with a swipe card for each transaction you make on board. If you dont have a credit card then usually they will take pounds/dollars/euros (exchange rate can be very poor) at the start of your trip and you are then capped on how much can be spent.

On a trip on Celebration in September the only thing I needed real money for was the casino and even there you can go to the cash desk for your chips and get them added to your account. I put my wallet, passport etc in the safe and forgot about them for the week. You will need some money for on shore cash purchases.

This Is A Really Good Deal But...

Camilla Edwards's blog

Price is obviously a huge factor when booking and cruise or holiday, so looking through the deals on our website 599 per person for a 10 night cruise looks like a really good deal. A look at the itinerary though might make you think it`s a bit cold in this region in December.P&O`s Aurora is one of her much loved older, smaller by today`s standards, ships. This itinerary sets sail on 6th December 2017 and calls at Hamburg, at 2 day stop in Copenhagen, Olso, Amsterdam and Zeebrugge for Bru...

By DJ Weatherall

DJ Weatherall's blog

Majestic and her stunning atrium is the heart of the shipThe Plaza on Majestic is on Deck 5 – from here you can access 3 decks either by marble staircase or Panoramic Lifts – it is without doubt the heart of the ship. There are restaurants and bars, cafe’s and lounges, speciality tea and coffee takeaway or sit down areas and the all important shops.I know some lines prefer to have a royal promenade that runs along the centre of the ship – but Majestic just like Royal a...
