I suppose it depends on the type of land stay you prefer. We always put the cruise at the end, mainly because we tend to have a more hustle bustle type land week & use the cruise to relax.

My first cruise in 1998 was with Airtours I had the cruise first and then the stay. I didn't want to leave the ship and was really disappointed with the stay. I would always do the stay first. Marie from Leeds.

I would agree stay first and cruise second, the facilities; entertainment etc on the ship mean you would find it a bit of a let down if you did the hotel second, there is no real comparison we made that mistake in 1996 and not again.

A couple of weeks ago I set off for Southampton to join Brittania for a friends Daughters Hen do. We set off early morning to make sure we would get there in plenty of time and as this was only a 2 night cruise and wanted to make the most of it. A few bottles of Prosecco and other beverages later we arrived at the terminal around 12.45.In usual P&O fashion we were handed a coloured card with a letter on and had to wait our turn. Unbeknown to us at this time there were system issues and ...
