If you like RCI I would progress up to Celebrity and not down to P&O.

Hard to give an answer as it is down to personal taste RCI ships as you know glitzy P&O bland if you like subdued its ok service better on RCI its ok on P&O Tips a lot less on P&O and no added 15% to bar bills you pay what you see? cabins Bigger on Arcadia than Navigator Food I liked both but Arcadia could be not always to good,Arcadian Rhodes Excellent,Chops grill very good.Entertainment RCI more international Arcadia aimed at the UK market.Parking at Southampton RCI ? Have enjoyed both ships And P&O do have more choice if your thinking of a UK Departure hope it helps?

I'll add my bit to confuse you even more! Out of the four mentioned RCI (top), Princess, P&O, NCL (bottom) would be my order of quality. If your looking for better, go with A of N's suggestion , Celebrity. Regards. Wilba.

Great feed back, many thanks to all. Have any of you been on Holland America? I note these are a little more expensive also is Cunard as stuffy as I imagine it.

I have only been on a day visit to the new HAL Eurodam. The food & service was a genuine 5 star experience as opposed to the 4 star lines you have mentioned. The whole ship has the ambience of quality, & is on my list of must do cruise ships, but aquaintances of ours have just returned from this ship, experienced cruisers, & were taken aback by their bar bill at end of cruise. But then no one forces us to indulge!!! do they??? 5 star line 5 star prices.

Once again thanks for the info, I have just checked out the ship you mention "HAL Eurodam" it looks very impressive. As yet I cannot find any HAL Eurodam prices for 2010 but it has a very tempting taster 4 night cruise out of Dover on July 6th 2009 for £385 the problem is I do not think my good lady would give me the ok as we already have two booked.

River cruises are going large!!

By Natalie Hargreaves

Ok maybe I had got a few of you excited when I said large . The vessel will be almost twice the width of the average river cruise ship but will still carry just 196 guests, giving guests more space in the staterooms and public spaces. The ...

Wonderful Mexico

By Neil Holmes

Neil Holmes's blog

It was time for my annual week away with great friends. Last year we went to New York, which was a little cold so this year we went to warmer climates. We stayed at Riu Cancun in Mexico which was a perfect location to the bustling nightlife. We boarded our flight in Manchester the day after and inch and a half of snow fell, so yes there was a two hour delay but that did not bother us. 10 hours later we had swapped the minus 2 degrees to a more relaxing 28 degrees. The hotel was fantastic, all i...
