Neil & Ida Down - Answered a Question by Fray (22 Oct 08 15:00)

Cunard are one of the companies who often upgrade but it is usually those passengers who have travelled with them a large number of times and I don't know what your rating is. I must admit that I have never heard anyone describe their cabin as being in steerage even though that might possibly be the case (I take it that's what you mean). Good luck with it anyway. ... No problem, I think is the modern idiom. Once before does not put you high up the chain but stranger things have happened at sea. On QE2 the cabins that were lowest down were known as Coronation Street by the crew. Regards. .... Neil.
