Island, Ocean Village, Easycruise are non formal. NCL, Carnival are optional Formal .
Oh Easy-cruise for me please, it sounds so lovely and it will suit the colour of my skin........orange. LOL ...Neil.
Azamara Journey is opional formal - I dressed up twice in 14 day cruise last month
Simon Oakley 16/10/08.
We have cruised with Princess Royal caribean and Thompsons and all had a formal dress night, usually one per week. But if you don't want to dress up then you can eat in the buffet restaurant that night. On formal nights there are more men wearing an ordinary suit and not all in DJs and Ladies are in anything from long dresses to a nice suit. On all other nights then as long as you wear long trousers then anything goes in the evening. Cruises are great fun and are not stuffy and old fashioned anymore, Enjoy.
RCL has formal nights but you do not have to attend these events if you do not want to. Likewise with any cruise I have been on, you are not forced into doing something. They are very relaxed.
