Neil Down - Answered a Question by Maxwell (01 Aug 07 17:07)

The hurricane season is generally thought to be June to October but it can extend a little. The main thing to remember is that the Captains do not like hurricanes either so they will move a ships course and if necessary itinerary in order to miss one. I have been in this situation where the captain took avoiding action well before we were liable to be in trouble and although the sea had a few lumps in it I've experienced much worse elsewhere in the world. Don't worry and enjoy the sun and Caribbean life-style Neil Down.

We have done the Caribbean in both January and March and the weather was absolutely fabulous.. March was a little hotter but bearable.

Independence of the Seas voted the best ship sailing out of Southampton will be undergoing a multi-million pound make-over bringing some amazing new additions to bring her up to the modern standards of the newer ships. The ship was looking a little tired so its no great surprise she is having a refit. She entered service in April 2008 so definitely time to hav...
