Neil & Ida Down - Answered a Question by Jones (13 Oct 08 15:14)

Thankfully, No. I have heard that the only place where they will allow smoking in the future will be the funnel. ... Neil.

The day the ships ban all smoking inside will be the day the lines will start to go bankrupt. Take no notice of Neil. In fact Thomsons banned smoking in cabins but rumour has it they have reversed this policy. Island Star two weeks ago had smoking sides of ships absolutely crammed with passengers, Non smoking sides plenty of places to sit, that tells you something.

You can still smoke in the Golden Lion Pub - well we did in august of this year(although only a small part and no longer at the bar) on the Queen MaryII - also in th casino (although again not at the bar). When we went last year you could smoke in part of the Chart Room, part of the Golden Lion and also part of the Commodore Lounge (great for coffee in the morning) but when we went a few weeks ago it had changed to only the Golden Lion. Guess what the 'small designated area' was packed but of course many of the 'non smokers' took up the tables even though most were empty at the non-smoking end! Then they moaned! There was a lot of very displeased people and a couple of multi-millionaire type americans' having a real go. One said that he had travelled with Cunard for forty years and would NOT be coming back so that may change a few minds! There was also a couple of places on the Navigator of the Seas but that may well have changed also. You can still smoke on the balcony of your room on the QMII ---- but for how long!

We are going on the Atemis which has stopped smoking inside the ship which was altered to this after we had booked. I was not pleased at all if the weather is bad and you are unable to go outside where are we supposed to have a cigarette??????? I hope P&O realise they will loose passengers by the boat load(pardon the pun) and they deserve to if they ban smoking totally inside the ships. I like to sail with Princess as far as i am aware you can still smoke in at least 1 bar and the casino's.

How loyal are you to your cruise line?

By Chris Halford

Benefits range from discount on board to priority booking and exclusive on board benefits. But are they really all its made out to be or are we limiting our options by being loyal.Im going to focus on P&O because they are the most popular but a similar comparison could be made with other cru...

Zara Kelly's blog

It has been over 10 years since I last visited Singapore, but my Mother in Law is a regular visitor. The main reason is to visit her nephew and family, but while they are at work she loves to go off and explore. During this visit, she was also treated to a lovely weekend in Bali!As I sat looking through the pictures and listening to the stories, I was amazed at how much Singapore has changed. So, I have done a short interview with Jane, who has also kindly let me share some of her wonderful p...
