Haven't cruised with either but have done Alaska cruise with Holland America - absolutely first class and has advantage of being American hence able to berth rather than anchor and be ferried by tende.

We did the Princess Alaskan cruise & combined it with a rockies land stay tour (Fairmont 5* hotels throughout)Could not fault the holiday in any way whatsoever - fantastic but it must be said if you are not into wild life and scenery then don't go. There is so much to see and insufficient time to see it in so it is not what one could say was a relaxing holiday. Princess staff could not do enough for us throughout the 2 weeks-very efficient but friendly with it as were the co-travellers.

Cruised to Alaska on the Princess Line, fantastic. Went round the Hawaian Islands on NCL and never again. I was warned but didn't listen.

Cruised from Seattle to Alaska and back to Seattle on Princess (Dawn Princess) Sept 2006 Put my name on the long list who say this cruise is FANTASTIC! Ship's people wonderful as were the people we met in Alaska. Enjoyed it all, especially 'anytime' eating. Could fit in a meal when we were not watching the scenery all around us.

We went with Princess and it was as formal or informal as you want it to be. We do not like dressing up and so made use of the 24 hour buffet or other eating places. Food was excellent, far better than P&O cruises which was very good as well.

Last month Princess Cruises announced its summer European plans for the upcoming 2018 season. The cruise line will have 5 ships based in European waters for the 2018 season. The major change is that the Sapphire Princess will be comimg over from the Far East to Europe for the first time, I think this is to make way for the new Majestic Princess that will be in Asia from May next year. With 57 unique itineraries, visiting 35 countries in Europe this opens open a few more new options for Princess...

The P&O Adonia left the P&O fleet in 2015 year and headed to Cuba on a new venture and was re named Fathom. The would help build water filters and teach English to the locals.P&O loyal customer will be very glad to hear that the smallest ship is coming back to Southampton in summer 2017. The ship only has a 710 passenger capacity and is adult only making i...

Nathan Wozniak's blog

Several 6 star cruise liners are introducing brand new ships, so are we all mega rich or is there a gap in the market…..Looks like the cruising world is the most heavily invested market in the travel industry and is set to continue. There is currently a TV documentary on Channel 5 , showing the building of Regent Seven Seas Explorer. The first programme begins with chief executive Frank Del Rio outlining his vision for the luxury vessel and joins him in a personal quest to acquire 5 mi...
