As a pentioner I ask, do you take up less space or do you eat or drink less? We can't support the campaign against age discrimination and then ask for favours for the elderly.

They are businesses and need to make profit. Please give me one GOOD reason why they should subsidise pensioners who want to cruise. .... Neil.

Well said Neil. Also why should those of us who are still working (especailly those of us in education, who HAVE to travel in high season), pay more to subsidise OAPs? I'm not far from that my self, but I won't expect subsidised holidays.

Pensioners dont get any where near all the hand outs we give to all the asylum seekers in this country who havnt contributed a thing! Come on you lot,we should look after our pensioners better and the single supplements are outrageous!

Instead of going away 4 times a year just go once - on a cruise. Get a friend to go with you and share a cabin to keep the cost down. Three friends plus you will acheive an even better saving as the third/fourth person discount can be shared between you all. As you are not working then get packed and with your passport in hand, ring round agents for a last minute deal a couple of days before a cruise you fancy is due to leave.

If you really can afford 4 holidays a year then you are infinitely better off than 95 % of UK population and should not bergrudge the fact that you have a TWIN cabin for SINGLE occupancy.
