Travelsphere report:Ocean Majesty offers everything you need for a relaxing cruise. Take a dip in the pool or enjoy a work-out in the gym. If you like your exercise to be a little more sedate, then there’s nothing to beat simply taking a stroll on deck, enjoying the sea air. You’ll find five bars and three lounges in which to relax and enjoy a drink over a chat, or simply to curl up with a good book from the ship’s library. Or why not join a few friends for a hand or two of cards. Enjoy a spot of retail therapy in the shop, and if you want to stay in touch with events back home, there are PCs available for you to surf the net or pick up your emails. Ocean Majesty offers a programme of activities to help you get the most from your cruise. There’s an informative talk about each of the ports of call you’ll visit and the excursions that are available. The Berlitz guide says best suited to adult couples and single mature travellers who want a basic cruise in unpretentious yet comfortable surroundings, for a first cruise and at a low price that offers good value for money - so enjoy your trip and escape the credit crunch.

Neil & Ida Down - Answered a Question by Roberts (30 Sep 08 22:07)

Hello again, I would suggest that you google both Page and Moy and ms Ocean Majesty and you will get a review of some of the ings you want to know. The Berlitz Guide also says she is a 2 star plus ship launched in 1966 and has had five other names. Berlitz also says the name is not indicative of the ship but is reasonable about her two star+ status. Deck furniture leaves a little to be desire but deck space is ok. Very suitable for getting into ports that others can't. The food improves somewhat when leased by Page and Moy but expect queues for shore excursions and buffets. Extremely uncomplimentary about the cabins saying " most are very small and are barely functional". I hope you find this helpful, regards, ... Neil .

Ken, I have no idea, this is one for The reason could be because this is a summer charter only to Page and Moy or it could be that they are in direct competition with so best to ask them. ... Neil.

Cooke - Answered a Question by Roberts (01 Oct 08 08:54)

We have sailed on Ocean Majesty five times and obviously we enjoy it. She is a small ship with a lovely 'house party' atmosphere. Cabins are small, with plenty of storage space. Lounges are comfortable with adequate seating and there are planty of sunloungers. Dinner is in two sittings in the restaurant and we have always found the food to be good to excellent. I have never managed all five courses. Breakfast and lunch can be in the restaurant or Lido buffet. We have always used the buffet and never had to queue for long or wait for a table. Waiters are efficient and attentive. The entertainment has been 're-vamped for this year and we loved it. The very talented Mark Bellinger, Cruise Director, has done a great job, but some of the older passengers didn't like the change. Fly-on acts weren't as good as the host and hostess shows. Both Page & Moy staff and officers and crew work very hard to make your holiday as much fun as they can, if you meet them half way you'll have a great time. Oh, and excursions are a bit expensive. Characters to look out for - Bernard, the best waiter on any cruise ship, anywhere; Jose, bar manager, don't miss his cocktail demonstrations, Daniel, pianist and complete fruit-loop, I'll bet he was a hyper-active child. Is there anything else I can tell you? Judith.

I Am Back!

By Gail Ryan

I am back. What is it about taking time off for a holiday? From the day you book your holiday to the day you leave seems to take an age to come around, but once you are there the days fly by and you are soon sat back at your desk and the sun and sea seem like a distant dream! It’s just not fair.I have once again been to Cyprus for my annual family holiday. The weather seems to get better every year – it must be this Global warming they keep on talking about! The weather was superb...

Anne Eaves's blog

Being a great fan of NCL cruise lines I have welcomed the news that the 2 newest ships to join the fleet in 2017 and 2018 will be based in China and Alaska respectively. I have recently returned from a cruise on Norwegian Epic around the Mediterranean and there were a lot of Chinese staff on board who were training and getting ready for the new ship.Norwegian Joy is being styled exclusively for the Ch...
