Everything is subjective and therefore ones overall personal opinion. I liked Island Star and had a very good holiday on her. I just prefered OV2. Bigger ship with more entertainment choice and a different 'feel' to IS. Have a look at the Berlitz review for both. The ships were both built in 1990 but OV was refurbished in 2007 (IS 2005), has loads of balcony cabins and is nearly twice the size tonnage so there is more room etc on offer without it being a BIG ship. Entertainment is definately better and Berlitz review seems to agree. Every ship, even of the same cruise line, is different and with every ship there is something one can niggle at BUT cruising is the BEST holiday and I have never been on a bad cruise (except for the 'traveller' family we had on one memorable cruise with Princess)Enjoy your next holiday. Go for the itenery, read the brochure and reviews and dont worry too much!
