Hi folks we are on the same cruise. We have arranged our own flights and are stopping in genoa for a night before the cruise. Anyone know which berth the ship is sailing from Eric, West Yorkshire.

Rowley - Answered a Question by TUCKER (26 Oct 08 07:26)

Hi We are a party of 4, Myself and my wife and two (mature) ladies. I have booked the whole thing myself as seperate items. We didn't see the cruise until late and my wife and I got the last outside cabin and the ladies who booked later got the last inside cabin (or so we are told.) The cruise apparently was completely booked a few days after it was launched. In fact MSC have offered us places on the 2009 cruise. We are flying from Manchester to Genoa. We have booked an Hotel overnight near the port. When we get to Durban, we have hired a house about an hour away and are spending a few days exploring the area. Then we are going to drive up to J' burg and fly back to Manchseter. We have all visited South Africa before and love the place, but I have only been on one sea cruise before to Alaska. I am a bit apprehensive about Sea Sickness, but am determined to overcome it. About drinks, no I wasn't able to read the menu's which are on the internet for some reason, but all the reviews seem to show them as reasonable. The gratuities are $3.00 per person per night added to your bill (according to MSC whom I contacted) Hope this helps and we meet you sometime Eric Rowley.

Ive had a great time!...

By Sam Smith

Sam Smith's blog

It seems to me these days that people spend so much time moaning and whingeing about this and that, nothing works like it should and nothing is ever good enough, I thought it nice to share the thoughts of this refreshingly positive chap recently stranded on the NCL Star out in Australia.Francis Lahue and his wife were passengers of the Norwegian Star as it faced engine problems last Friday morning after leaving port. The luxury cruise ship was forced to bob without direction 30km off the coas...

Japan Week

By Robin Clarke

Robin Clarke's blog

So this week marks the Japan week promoting various different cruise lines that are incorporating a stay and cruise, with new 2018 itineraries now in place. So why is Japan a top destination in 2017 – Here’s what my colleague Holly had to say.“Japan had proved to be a top destination for 2017 and is already in demand for 2018 so why is this the case? After visiting Japan myself in 2016 and also with Joanna Lumley’s Japan airing on ITV in September 2016 it really is of n...
