Can you seriously believe we all love cruising because it's the same as a cross channel car ferry? I think we would have been taken to the home for the bewildered years ago if that were the case.

If you would state which ship/cruise line you where on also the location of your cabin IE front/midships/aft/deck high low you will get a better to your response question.

I am assuming that you used a P & O Car Ferry and I am also assuming that you are trying to compare that experience with a purpose built cruise ship trip. If my assumptions are right then you are in for a big surprise when you go cruising in the correct vessel. The difference is as marked as it would be if you were to travel in a lorry and then in a saloon car. They both make the same journey .... need I say more. .....Neil.

P&O - pride of bruge - deck 6 of around 7/8 (top deck of three passenger decks) all the passenger cabins were in the front half ours been nearly at the front. It was a car ferry.

Like I said... no comparison, You could try a mini cruise, there are normally some around but on something built for cruising....you won't regret it. Regards. .... Neil.

Norsun was built in 1987 by NKK, Tsurumi, Japan, for North Sea Ferries (Nedlloyd). She entered service between Hull-Rotterdam. Following internal rebuilding, Norsun transferred to the Hull-Zeebrugge service in 2002, receiving P&O Ferries livery at the same time. In 2003 Norsun was renamed Pride of Bruges, This is the ship Japan builds cargo ships cruise ships no, I suggest that you try a real cruise ship a cabin amidships not to high up you will find a vast difference .

That's rather like comparing a ride on a cattle train with a ride on the Orient Express ...
