My daughter in law is coeliac and we have cruised with her three times on royal caribbean. She is very susceptable to cross contamination, but on all three cruises they were great with her and she was well all the cruise. They even made her special bread.
Hi, We have been on Thomson ships where a coeliac was on our table. She had to let them know before she cruised. Then each day she was given the following days menu to choose from, and a meal would be cooked especially for her. Hope this helps, I am sure other companies will be the same.
.i would stear clear of costa line they serve pasta with everything.
A friend of mine who is both coeliac and diabetic has cruised with Celebrity and P&O. Nothing wrong with the Celebrity ship but found P&O coped better with her dietary needs, often offering to make special gluten-free desserts based on the regular menus. They are also very happy with the ships so now stick with P&O. Im sure there are other lines which are just as accommodating - maybe others can offer more info. Hope you find something suitable. Regards - Janet.
I had a bad experience with NCL and have avoided them ever since. I would hope my experience was a one off but as I was in hospital for some weeks following the cruise (effects of eating gluten) it has put me off NCL.
