Royal Caribbean are very good and if you can afford to try a Junior Suite or above that could be the something special you require, butler and all. If not why not try Celebrity the upmarket partner of RCI and have a Concierge cabin, also quite special and one up from that and still in the same family, Azamara, and be pampered in any one of their cabins . .... I'm with Neil & the Voyager class RCI ships would be my choice, Mega without the amount of people that the Freedom class ships have. But if quality of food & service are your priority, Celebrity would be my choice.

Another vote for Celebrity, or my personal favourite Brilliance of the Seas out of Barcelona.

I have been on royal caribean and found it great, although to be honest the best cruise line I have ever been on which isnt as expensive as it sounds is 'cunard' we went on the QE2 and found it so grand, although the ship was a little tired, the service has yet to be beaten, they really do look after you more than any other cruise line we have ever tried. its just simply elegant, and you feel like royalty. I paid less for the qe2 than i did for royal caribean. hope this helps.

By Ella Chapman

My head is spinning thinking about Universities for my 14 Year old son.Its far too early in my opinion to be thinking that far ahead. Some Universities do require a Modern Language at GCSE Level, which my son is not keen to do.However, my concern is that my son will not be attending University for 5 years, what if he changes his mind with what he...

Two Night Taster

By Dawn Gardener

Dawn Gardener's blog

Recently my parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, which happened to fall 2 days before Christmas. Up until a day before their anniversary I was stuck on what to get them. The only thing I knew that they would both really love is a cruise, as they are yet to experience a cruise and my mum has been wanting to do this for years. My dad is ex Royal Navy, so he was keen too, especially to see what sea would be like as a guest rather than working and also a bit more glamour than the sh...
