Royal Caribbean are very good and if you can afford to try a Junior Suite or above that could be the something special you require, butler and all. If not why not try Celebrity the upmarket partner of RCI and have a Concierge cabin, also quite special and one up from that and still in the same family, Azamara, and be pampered in any one of their cabins . .... Neil.
I'm with Neil & the Voyager class RCI ships would be my choice, Mega without the amount of people that the Freedom class ships have. But if quality of food & service are your priority, Celebrity would be my choice.
Another vote for Celebrity, or my personal favourite Brilliance of the Seas out of Barcelona.
I have been on royal caribean and found it great, although to be honest the best cruise line I have ever been on which isnt as expensive as it sounds is 'cunard' we went on the QE2 and found it so grand, although the ship was a little tired, the service has yet to be beaten, they really do look after you more than any other cruise line we have ever tried. its just simply elegant, and you feel like royalty. I paid less for the qe2 than i did for royal caribean. hope this helps.
