I took AI on Thomson Spirit a couple of years ago You sometimes have to pay a bit on top if you want a premium brand and wine is by the glass whether it is good value depends on how much you drink Thomsons bar prices are reasonable so if you are a light drinker it would not be worth it In addition couples both have to pay AI (presumably so the husband does not get free drinks for his wife i imagine).

Thomson cruises offer free all inclusive upgrades on some cruises if you book early- other Thomson cruises have all inclusive upgrades you can purchase at varying prices. Also Island cruises sometimes offer free all inclusive upgrades on the Island Escape. Luxury cruislines like Silversea are all inclusive.
