Ida Down - Answered a Question by JUKES (21 Jul 08 00:14)

Well Mr. Jukes, The Good Mr Burrows said "should" and normally we would agree with the Good Mr Burrows but this has not been a normal year and whilst we hope that will be the case this is not a year for firm prognostication particularly with the Atlantic. As far as what do young forty year olds do who don't dance or play bridge, well.... each morning you will receive a news sheet with all the activities and events on throughout that day and they will range from energetic shuffleboard to absolutely captivating napkin folding and if at the end of the day you say I found nothing of interest then we will all be surprised. So much to do little time and don't forget that you will get five extra hours to fill going that way...... You'll love it .... Ida.

Dear Ida, I'm afraid that "should" was not mentioned in my answer of 3rd July! This has given me several sleepless nights since, but I am still confident that my forcast for the Jukes QM2 transatlantic crossing on 1st August will come to fruition! Just five days before this epic cruise and the weather is as predicted. I only hope that it has not peaked too soon! Just on the off chance that this does prove to be the case, here is link to a photo of what the Jukes can expect! /imagepopup.php?src=/images/gallery_upload/0000QE2+2008+045.jpg.jpg. Happy cruising.

Friends of Dorothy!

With most cruise lines now catering for the LGBT market including a LGBT Community Mixer at the Champagne Bar on the Indepen...

Just back from my wonderful ‘home’ Mallorca even though I am not from Mallorca (not with a surname like mine anyway!) The weather was great it was about 24 degrees every day which is perfect for walking about and sunbathing in too.We hired a car for the first few days as the other half doesn’t like transfers to the hotel from the airport he can’t stand being on the bus dropping eve...

Heading to the Caribbean?

By Ruby Perkins

With major hurricanes bartering through the United Stated and the Caribbean over the last couple of months I have received a huge amount of calls from obviously concerned passengers as to whether their cruise will still be happening, and if so will the itinerary still be the same.Having worked in the Caribbean for a couple of years with Thomson I have been in the middle of a couple of Hurricanes and dealt with the aftermath too from evacuating Islands, to holding the fort in hurricane shelter...
