I don't see any reason why not but don't forget the food on the ship is FRE.

On past cruises sometimes, we have been able to get off, as you will originally board with your credit-card type seapass, which gains you exit & access at any time, BUT... there is very much increased security now at all embarkation ports, so if you mean off-port, that may be a problem. In the past, the only checks we have ever had off-port, have been either/or the ship's pass & either your passport, or a copy of it.
