They dock very close to the main st in St Johns. There will be dozens of taxi vans of all sizes & a favorite trip is Nelsons Dockyard, Shirley Heights, a drive through the Rain Forest & then stop off at one of the 365 beaches (one for every day of the year) for an hour or so before returning to the ship. This is a great way to see Antigua & we still had time to walk around the town to see the local way of life. This in my view is the best way of seeing Antigua. A small taxi van can negotiate the narrow roads & streets far better than a 56 seater & of course you can stop/start/move on at your pace without waiting for the inevitable stragglers that pervade every coach journey. Finally the price, work on about 30% of the cruise tour & you should be about right.

Buckley's right about sharing, but the local Taxi Mafia Boss does a lot of the negotiating & he will try to find likewise couples or talk people into filling a few more seats if he can.

By Camilla Edwards

Today sees the release of brand new itineraries from P&O Cruises for winter 2019 into spring of 2020, including their 2020 World Cruise Programme. As with 2019 this is the second year in a row that P&O only have one ship, Arcadia, doing the round world voyage.Arcadia is a really good choice for this long trip as she is adults only, I doubt many people would want to take children on such a long cruise, and also has a good range of cabins and on board facilities. She is also quite smal...

P&O and Cunard cruises have for a good while now offered extra on-board credit to serving or ex forces guests. Previously this just had to be added on request at time of booking (not on a Saver fare) and guests may on-board be asked for paperwork to prove their eligibility on-board or lose it (although my clients said that they never got asked ).No both P&O and Cunard have moved the goal posts and require people who book after the 1st March 2018 to be registered for a Defence Discoun...
