I know the Aurora has 22 wheelchair accessible cabins and 8 of those have a private balcony...staff as always are first clas.

Aurora has rather narrow corridors for wheelchairs, particularly when stewardesses are cleaning cabins. good luck! geoff gurr.

Went on the Oriana in May, I am a wheel chair user and had no problems at all. There were even people on board with motorised scooters. Staff very helpful when embarking and all the help you need on disembarking. Go for it, you will enjoy yourself and not feel the odd one out. Ferrida.

We have just been on the Aurora and got into conversation with a lovely man in a wheelchair who was still a practising Chemist. He said that they had just 10 cabins on board especially to take wheelchairs and his one was fine, although I see another answer says there are 22 special cabins. These cabins are only allocated apparantly to people who are seriously disabled. Another woman who had a mobility scooter was not so lucky and could not get her scooter into a normal cabin and was not allowed to leave it in the corridor just outside. Other than that everyone is totally helpful passengers and crew; you would have few problems.

I have cruised a few times with P & O and have noticed that the facilities for people with limited mobility and wheelchair users are especially good on Arcadia, which is also a child-free ship. I believe that there are also a number of especially adapted cabins available for wheelchair users. I hope that this is of some help. Spencer Cunnah (Sheffield).

We have cruised Adonia,aka Sea Princess and Aurora and have nothing but praise for the service and attention received for my wife in a wheelchair. The corridors are adequate for wheelchairs and if they are obstructed by trollies then the trollies are moved pronto We have also cruised RCI, Splendour, and again no complaints only praise.
