It depends which ship and which dock and also the state of the tide but the slope is generally a gentle one and often flat. I assume the was a genuine question..Nei.
Beware tender ports if you are worried about getting on and off of the ship. Getting on and off of these bobbing tenders can tax even the best of us sometimes! Check the ports of call very carefully if you are concerned. Happy cruising.
Just come back from cruising on Oriana and could not get over how helpful the crew were in helping people board the tender in Guernsey. They even carried a disabled gent on board carefully so he could go ashore with hiis fold down wheelchair. Truly considerate even though they say in literature its not advisable.
I'm scared of heights and have never had a problem!! There is usually an extra gangway on a lower deck, for disabled people, that you will be able to use. Don't worry about the tender ports there are always plenty of strong young crew members to assist you with boarding the tender boats!!
