You will find an in-depth review of 'Europa' on page 362 of the 2008 edition of the Berlitz 'Complete Guide to Cruising and Cruise Ships' I have not sailed on the ship, but it usually gets the highest score rating 5*+ in the small ship category.
Thanks for your response, "Mr?Mrs?Ms Stone of Oxford".
I've read the review that you refer to and that is what has whetted my appetite.
You say that "it usually gets the highest score rating 5*+ in the small ship category" but I'd go further than that - it usually gets the highest score rating 5*+ of all of the ships in all of the categories.
Most of the reviews that I have read seem to have been written by "passengers" who turned out to have vested interests - as travel agents!
Hapag-Lloyd have sent me a brochure for their bi-lingual cruises only but, in accordance with Murphy's Law, the one that I fancied is not in there - it's one that goes from Greece to Turkey and the passengers decide which islands to stop at on the way.
They claim that any cruise where at least 10 of the passengers are English speaking will be made into a bi-lingual one - ie one with announcements not just in German but in English also.
We were hoping to hear from someone who speaks only English and has cruised on this ship.
