In Venice we stayed at Antiche Figure - very highly recommended on tripadvisor and 5mis walk away from Piazzale Roma.

So sorry I forgot to mention that we depart from Venice and the cruise ends at Venice. Thank you Aldrich for your information - it will be very useful.

Have a look at www.venere.com for hotel reviews and bookings. They have a map facility so that you can select a particular part of Venice and then hover over the markers for hotel names and prices.

We are going on splendour of the seas at the end of may and have booked 1 night pre cruise and 1 night post cruise at the olimpia hotel in venice.It is across the canal from piazalle roma .Icant tell you what it is like but does get decent reviews.We chose this one for its location.
