I have it on good authority- see P&O new brochure or call P&O, that smoking IS allowed in cabins, on balconies, and in designated areas both inside and outside on all ships- for the comfort of all guests. So I think it is crucial that people ensure their information is correct, so your 'congratulations' is a little premature.

Well done P&O. As a non-smoker I and my kind will certainly take up the slack made by missing smokers and enjoy our cruising all the more. Smoking is certainly allowed on the lower end of the cruise market, Thomson Destiny have a smokers sectioned off area policy. Ughh.

Yes most ships allow smoking in certain areas but if they follow current trends this will be more restricted as time goes on.As 75% or more of the population don't smoke the smokers who spite the dummy or fag out will not be missed that much .

If this is so I could be persuaded to go back to P & O and that is a real change for me. I think the extinct Renaissance Cruises were Non-smoking and they went to the wall. Maybe they were before their time....Nei.

The lower end of the cruise market???? I think you will find that on Thomson ships there are less areas to smoke in than on the 'upper end' of the cruise market. 'Ughh.

Royal Caribbean. Something for...

By Dean Michaelides

Every single year its seems like more and more ships are being released. 3-6 star 300 passengers to 6000 passengers there are hundreds of cruises out there now. My question is can anyone beat Royal Caribbean and do they have a ship for every one?I recently had a training with a Royal Caribbean rep and she advised there aim would be for cruise customers never to look elsewhere when it comes to cruising. A bit like Dubai for Holidays. There idea it to have such a wide range within there fleet f...
