No all the cruises (NCL, Princess,Celebrity) we have done all require a credit card (people may no have the funds in a debit card account) and those companies are assured of their money from the credit companies.OK G Young.

All cruises i have done take your credit card details and all shoping and drinks etc are charged to you credit at the end of the cruise. Credit cards take the money out of you account (some companys charge you more with credit cards.

All cruise lines take both debit and credit cards...its your choise! I travelled with a friend one time and she had no cards...so I let her use one of mine and that was fine with the cruise line....all OK as long as some-one pays at the end of the cruise!! All accounts are posted to your cabin/stateroom before the end of cruise, usually the evening before leaving the ship at the end of the cruise. Have a great time on your cruise..
