The peak time for Carribean holidays, (cruise or hotel) is Dec to April, when people in cold regions want to get a bit of sun. European based ships travel back to Europe March/April for the summer seaon and US based ships travel up to Alaska etc. There are still some US based ships left that operate year roun.

Another reason is the hurricane season is not far away and the events of 2004 have meant a few more leave this area for Europe and other parts of the world.
