Im sooooo confused! Im looking for a med cruise 1 week,(1st time) with my partner & 2 children (aged 16 & 18). we dont want screeming kids aboard but need the kids to enjoy something for thier age, any suggestions? Moody, N.Yorks.
100% child free - then you need Saga - 2 older smaller ships that are very British - over 55s only. Other ships that do not have childrens facilities are Azamara, Seabourn, Silverseas, Oceania - much more upmarket [and therefore costlier], but despite not having facilities there is no guarantee that there won't be any ankle-biters on board. Otherwise P&O have 2 adult only ships - Artemis and Arcadi.
Royal Caribbean and other major American lines are not guaranteed to be child less however the amount of " littlegems" are limted mainly because of when and where they go Brit and European kids are usually atschoolAmericans do not seem tohave the same policy re school/hols However these ships are not overun by them all have their own kids areas anyway and we were 50 ish when we started I cannot recomend RCi enough It is a holiday of a lifetime I have not cruised for two years , doing other things and am suffering withdrawal Celebrity ( same line as RCI)I think are even more adult friendly.
P and O Arcadia and Artenis are both Child free ships so why not look at the P and O website and find out if they are going to the Caribbean or get a brochure from the Travel Agent. We are going to the Caribbean visiting 10 islands on Ventura it is not a Child Free ship but as we are going on 5th December it probably wont have that many kids on it.
By far the best are the Artimis and Arcadia both p&o ship.
pROVIDED YOU CHOOSE TO GO OUT OF TERM TIME i HIGHLY RECOMMEND sEA pRINCESS
Also Celebrity Cruises

Avoid Arcadia like the plague, its a horrible ship! Make sure you go out of term time, and choose the best cruise you can afford. We are mid 50s, and don't generally find there to be too many children aboard.
Are you some kind of nut? what in heavens name is wrong to have a few young children running around.? It helps to keep me young!
Suggest you book your cruise during school holiday times.
Sorry, mised a word out of my original answer... it should read: Suggest you "DON'T" book a cruise during school holidays.
