Yes I started cruising 10 years ago with my husband for my 70th birthday and have been cruising ever since. The best part is that you can do as much or as little as you like, I especially enjoy cruising with Fred Olsen as you can sail from the uk with no flights involved and you are very well looked after as the staff are wonderful.

I Strongly recommened Celebrity X Cruises. They are elegant, luxurious but yet relaxed. They take care of thier passengers more than any other cruise line. Plus, compared to all the other cruises as you get alot more and it is fantastic value for money. Don't be put of by a large ship as the Millenium Class ships will have the best facilites for more mature people. You can also get cabins for wheelchairs with sit down showers.

I had to smile this week when I read about Bonnie Tyler making a guest appearance on board ‘Oasis of the seas’ to help get passengers in the spirit to experience the Solar eclipse. Very clever Royal Caribbean, it’s almost as good as an episode of ‘Homes under the hammer’.Bonnie will be belting out her 80’s hit ‘Total eclipse of the heart’ alongside American rock dance band DNCE in the Aqua Theater about an hour before the eclipse next week. You ...

Southampton Port Parking I...

By Camilla Edwards

Camilla Edwards's blog

I always think arriving at the airport or port is really the start of the holiday but last time I cruised from Southampton it was a bit of a nightmare and very stressful. Traffic jams between Oxford and Newbury made us, and many other passengers, late to start with and on arriving at the cruise terminal the queues were horrendous to say the least. Sitting in a car for an hour and a half looking at Ventura is not the best start to anyone`s cruise. Fortunately we had booked Valet Parking so on...
