Neil and Ida Down - Answered a Question by Jennie Lowe (01 Jan 08 19:52)

Dear Jennie,, You are right there is very little being offered for that period for 14 night. I found a few of much longer but nothing offering exactly what you want. There are however several single offers for later in the year some even on this site so talk to the guys and gals in the know and who can at the touch of a screen or with a short call give you the answers you require...the cruise agents....most of them have freephone numbers Sorry but they are a better bet......Nei.

There are some late deals on this website to the Caribbean...I personally wouldn't rate Costa the same standard as Sea Princess but P and O Oceana is an identical ship and is in the Caribbean Feb/March...the problem may be that you are a single traveller as most of the cabins are doubles..best of luck with the hunt and hope the back recovers quickly!!

After an amazing trip to Lapland and a fantastic Christmas with the family our festivities were cut short as I was taken into hospital just after Christmas. Unfortunately I had to spend nine days there and have emergency operation on New Years day! As you can imagine this was not how I planned to see in the new year but as we all know these things happen and I am very grateful to have been very well looked after and now recovered.I was very well looked after by our amazing NHS, I know they ge...

What No Kisses On My Pillow?!!

By Lily Canderton

Lily Canderton's blog

10 years ago a tradition of the nightly turn down service on ships was a Chocolate Kiss on your pillow but this now seems to be a thing of the past according to a recently returned cruise passengerI hear all the time from passengers that ‘standards are not what they used to be’ with less and less being included and more and more being an added payable extra – Are cruise lines cutting corners just too much?Even the Berlitz Guide author commented that standards are slipping in...
