Celebrity do provide special meals such as gluten free - they have to be made aware of this request 40-80 days before sailing to accomodate the meals. Did your T/A actually make this request in writing for you as is required?? I cannot believe that Celebrity would not accomodate you as they have a very good record.
Yes T/A told 9 months before trip. Celebrity received info in Oct for Nov 24 departure and they still couldn't do it!!
I've had bad experiences with American based companies and gluten free food. Northern European based companies are much more aware.
One company I travelled with sent me conformation of my glutenfree request, didn't come up with the goods (I was ill for several days and the ship Dr gave me drugs that made me worse as they also contained gluten!!) After a complain I was told they did not provide gluten free food, had never promised it and I had forged their letter saying they could cater.....
