Hi If you go with Royal Caribbean you can sign a "Beverage Waiver Form" which will enable her to drink beer and wine on board. I am certain that other cruise lines have this facility but best to check with whichever line you choose. regards....Nei.

Not sure about cruise ships, but travelled to America with 20 year old son and were not even allowed to have wine with dinner. In palm springs they immediately asked his age and were not allowed to enter the restaurant. Sad thing was we were a family group hoping to have a once in a lifetime holiday whilst we had our sons still at home with us and it made it very difficult for all of us. One restaurant in Sedona actually removed his wine glass at the dinner table and watched us like hawks. I would check it out first as they were very strict. Lyn.

GILLILAND here, thanks Lynn &neil, I was hoping for a reply from the cruise lines OR their AGENTS! After all ITS OUR MONEY that keeps them in business.

Hi Gilliland, You can paste the question on the web-site "contact us" section of all the cuise lines you might be interested in. That way you could get a reply from them and I am not sure how strict P&O or Fred Olsen would be as they run under British standards The Waiver form should be part of your question though...See ya....Nei.

You might have less problem with a European cruise line operating out of the Cribbean. However you may find that they apply different rules when they are in US waters than in other durisdictions. For example when I was on a Caribbean cruise one time, I kept finding various things changed when we sailed into US waters like suddenly no jugs of milk on the tables or fruit decorations on cocktails because of US health regulation.
