It appears that my answer makes no sense ! Sorry - I'll try again! It should have read:
Oscars which is situated in the Waldorf Astoria is a fabulous place to eat, while 'The Bull and Bear' (also situated in the Waldorf) is one of New York's finest Steakhouses. Both will certainly cater for children and if you are staying in NY for 1 night I would certainly choose one of these restaurants - even if I weren't staying at the Waldorf Astoria. Enjoy your trip ! (Hopefully this reads better this time :O.

Although I can't remember the name you might try looking in Little Italy where the majority of restaurants are child friendly as the Italians love children. You might find this a little cheaper as well. look on the www particularly at sights like Virtual Tourist where you can get good advice.....Leanne Dow.
Thanks to all for your answers much appreciated, kind regard.
