Hi My husband and I got married two weeks ago on the P&O Oceana, as far as cruising goes we are quite young my husband being 30 and myself 27. We could not have asked for anything more from P&O to make our day so special. They helped me arrange everything we wanted from my appointments in the spa for my hair and make up before the wedding, the flowes, decorating the venue, the music, champagne waiting for us in the bar we choses to have our reception etc ....Yes the ship is formal on certain nights, on our 13 night cruise there were 6 casual nights, 3 informal nights and 4 formal nights, even then if you did not want to dress up you didn't have to but you would have to eat in the Plaza restaurant in the evening if you choses not to participate with the dress code. ( this is the buffet restaurant, still very nice though). We have some wonderful photos from our day and i would definitely recommend in to you. any more questions please ask or post your address and i can tell you all about with photos etc if that will help.

Most major cruiselines use based in Miami to organise the weddings. I did ask them about organising a wedding in Venice and this came to around $4500 [£2250]. I did not continue..

On the assumption you might only get married once, do it in style. P&O do weddings at sea. Nobody wears suits and dresses all day. There are usually only two formal nights per week and that is evenings only after 6pm. See details on website. Oceana is probably slightly less formal than the other ships .

I have organised my wedding on the Sea Princess with the wedding experience- referenced above. We are to be married at sea by the captain- the package on Princess cruises is called Tie the Knot and costs in total $2,500 for the package we chose but you can choose as much or as little as you like, depending on what you want. So far the organisation has been simple and efficient so I am hoping all will go well on our wedding day. I can email you the brochure if you would like but you will have to post your email here, I will check on here again if you want me to email it to you. P&O cruises also do weddings and I also have that brochure! Did a bit of research before I chose! Hope this help.

Whilst on the Sea Princess cruising the Caribbean in March last year, two weddings took place in the Library I believe. We saw both bridal parties, the brides beautifully and tradionally dressed, as where other members of the party. What a lovely way to get married! Dress during the day was what you would wear on a beach type holiday, no shorts in the formal dining room, but allowed in the buffet during the day so no need to change to eat lunch! We opted for the formal dining room for dinner, but it was nice to dress up and see others making the effort - not a football shirt to be seen!

I would have to say the Liberty of the seas, RCC they have a skylight chapel, winding staircases and loads to do in the evenings and its an amazing ship all roun.
