The answer is no, if you are drinking cheap booze in your cabin then you are not drinking in the bars and that means less profit for the cruise line.

Been on the Oceania P&O in Carribean Feb 07 and bought duty free on islands. No problem drinking it in your room, also remember any mixers as buying on board is expensive. Stock up and just have ice fresh dail.

Travelled on MSC a couple of times. Super on board duty free liquor store. Take any number of bottles to your cabin.Fred Olsen frisks you & confiscates booze. You get it back on last night of cruise.I have heard of folk buying cut price on shore, decanting it into plastic pop bottles before boarding & drinking .

The answer is yes! On P&O, have taken drinks on board at embarkation, have bought duty-free on board ship and have bought ashore and taken back on board - never a problem.

If you buy alcohol on your tours, when you bring it back on board the ship it is taken off you, your name and cabin number is put on the bag and it is given back to you the night before you leave the ship so that you can pack it in your luggage. That is with Princess Cruises.

Dont miss your ship.

By Dawn Gardener

For some reason, there seems to be more and more stories of cruise guests missing their ship when in port. I am on several cruise pages via Facebook and have heard this a lot recently where guests comment on how the ship departed leaving guests on shore because they didn’t get back in time. Last year there was the famous you tube video going around of the couple that left their kids on the ship whilst they went on shore and then missed it as it departed from Nassua with her screami...

Are cruise lines becoming sexist

By Ruby Perkins

Ruby Perkins's blog

Last week Aqua Expedition launched a new sensation but only for us ladies I’m afraid. They have come up with the idea of offering cruises just for ladies. They state……..‘With these cruises, women will have the chance to learn about new cultures and traditions whilst meeting new people who share the same excitement for adventure, whilst being able to enjoy a little bit of luxury at the same time.’Now forgive me for being a little lost with this fantastic opportunit...
