I would say a suit is acceptable given the strict luggage allowances these days. Suggest you check out your Roll Call over on 'cruise critic' so you can get chatting with others on your cruise, and perhaps get to share trips.

We did this cruise in 2006 it was amazing you will have a wonderfull time,i managed to take my dinner jacket and it all adds to the sense of occasion that you get on Celebrity ships,the weather will be very warm so you need only a small amount of jackets etc so get him to go for the tux i am sure he will appreciate i.
