Use your brain ???????? what currency do they use in Med Europe.
All Celebrity ships are US$ irrespective of where they ar.
The onboard currency is the US dollar - but you only need cash for the casino, or for tips as everything is paid for on your sea card, which you pay by credit card. You will need euros for port visits or the local currency. Hope that help.
Hi, no money changes hands onboard. You open an account with them and receive a "credit card" and settle your bill at the end of your trip.
Have a great time - and watch your drinks bill - it can mount up.
It is the dollar- but on board you use no cash- as above replies tell you, its all on the ships card- your door key card is your card which you use every time you buy anything- like in the shops or alcohol, at the end of the cruise you get a bill and pay however you like- dollars credit card, stirling- it is all billed in dollars and priced in dollars- but at the end you pay how you like.
Just a note to "Cowan, Middx" How very dare you....It is my job to be rude to questioners and at any rate this time your intimation is incorrect......Neil Dow.
Who the hell is Neil Down and why is it 'your job' to be rude to questioners and if you work for this site then my opinion of it has just gone down!
However, Cowans reply was pretty stupid as the question was not'what currency do they use AROUND the Med', but ON BOARD around the Med and even though on-board accounts are usually settled at the end of the cruise in an agreed currency, a new-comer wouldn't necessarily know would they!
