We went on the 13 night Fjords cruise last July. Although the newest and biggest in the P&O fleet we were somewhat disappointed at the apparent lack of experience by the staff in the Belvegere Restaurant atop the stern of the ship. There was a constant shortage of cups and teaspoons. The "buffet" was served to you rather than choose for yourself how much you want. The food was not always hot. If dining there then do well to be there for doors open. In contrast the Meridian (main) restaurant was much better, with the better food and waiters much more in tune with their duties. Don't miss any of the Palladium Theatre shows. They were fantastic.

There is generally 2 - 4 formal nights depending on the length of the cruise. One of these is generally a 'black & white' night, so take clothes for this occasion. There may also be a Caribbean party night with dancing on deck at night, so ladies should take there most colourful dresses for this, the men can buy caribbean shirts at almost any port or on board. If there are any themed dining nights, for instance, an Indian night, book it early in the cruise with your waiter (it is full very quickly). If any of your ports involve being tendered ashore, get you tender passes as soon as they are available to avoid a long wait.Take an umbrella with you, although there will be plenty of warm sunshine, these are often rainforest islands and it certainly knows how to rain. The catermeran excursions can be a bit expensive, but they are terrific fun, and you will be plied with rum punch all the time. Enjoy, John (Fareham.

I dont know your ages but my husband and i was on the arcadia in march and we were the teeny boppers on the ship, and we are aged 52 and 55. We said we would never go on a child free ship again. You did not say if this was your first cruise, but if your going to do any trips on the islands i would make your own arrangements as they can be a lot of money. You will find lots of taxis in each port that will do the same trip but at half the price. Hope this help.

Dont book trips off the ship? do it your self get a taxi at any of the ports if you can get another couple to share with you SAVE YOUR SELF A LOT OF MONEY. You will pay about 10 / 20 dollers a head and see a whole lot more, why pay £40 to £60 each.

Be careful! We had an unpleasant experience on the Artemis - the tips were added to our account every day but we felt we would give our two waiters something extra. We had them for 6 weeks so on the night before embarkation we gave each of them £45 as an extra thank you and the next morning at breakfast they obviously thought that we were the meanest people on the ship and their attitude was most unpleasant and rude. We are O.A.P. and do have to think twice about our holidays and because of this experience it is doubtful if we will ever cruise again. Fred and Pam Ri.

When on a cruise most ships dock at Port Klang which can take anything from 45 minutes to over an hour depending on the traffic to reach the City itself. With most places of interest spread about we decided to take an organised excursion with Royal Caribbean. The description was just Batu Caves and City tour full day.We set off 8.30 ish and had an excellent tour guide which gave us so much information, and arrived at Batu Caves in no time at all. Batu Caves are a series of caves within a limes...
