Ida & Neil Down - Answered a Question by Ford (19 Sep 07 14:59)

Sorry but your request is far too broad, there are some great things to see and do in the Caribbean and to mention them all would be to write a book. First decide where you would like to go, then add your likes and dislikes and then someone will, I'm sure, suggest the trips either the ship's own or diy.....Ida Dow.

If you go to Belize we heard the city trip wasn't everyone's cup of tea but we did a trip to have a "dolphin experience" It was great - standing chest deep in the sea with the dolphins swimming right up to us to stroke them. It was money well spent.

If you are going to Jamaica you must go to Dunns River falls and walk up the falls we had a brilliant time and we have a dvd of us walking up it. Also if you go to Grand Caymen go on a snorkling trip with the sting rays this was fantastic you get to feed them, make sure you wear plenty of suncream waterproof preferably.

First of all, you will love it! My main tip would be NOT to book any of the excursions offered by the cruise line. They are very expensive. Just walk down the gang plank and hire a local taxi. They will take you anywhere you want to go at a very reasonable price, and they will wait any length of time YOU decide. So you are not being dictated to by all the other people, as you would be on a cruise excursion.

If you go to Jamaica, Oche Rios, and you are reasonably fit and active - then you should do the Dunnes River Falls- it is brilliant!

We went on a Caribbean cruise in June on Golden Princess. Our favourites were Aruba, Bonaire, St Lucia and St Thomas. You will find numerous offer s of trips when you arrive at the different islands. Speaking to other passengers it seems to be cheaper to do you own trips rather than book on the ship. If you find out a little about the islands before you go you will be able to customise the trip to your preference. In St Lucia we had a complete tour part boat part mini coach, including time on the beach and snorkelling (including equipment) if you fancy.

What The Fukushima is going on in Japan?

By Jamie House

As a cruise consultant, in recent years we have seen huge growth in our Tailor-Made and Bucket List itineraries; few more popular than visiting Japan and Korea. We have the cherry blossom Japan tours with the bullet trains, Hiroshima and Robot Cabaret shows. Some of our Princess and Royal Caribbean itineraries visit Seoul in Korea.Right now the world waits in anticipation as Trump flexes his muscle over the Far East. Asking for cooperation from China to “deal with the problem that is No...

Almost time for my cruise on board

By Abbi Varela

Navigator of the Seas…..In just a few weeks I’ll be boarding Navigator of the Seas with my family for our cruise. It’s going to be the first time we have cruised with my little girl and we are all so excited, it’s going to be extra special as it’s our honeymoon cruise and yes we are taking Sofia with us…we couldn’t leave her behind! My little girl is five and I have been telling her all about the ship and what we’ll be able to do. Of course at f...

Norwegian Cruise Line to Add ...

By Sam Smith

Sam Smith's blog

I find it hard to believe that given the amount of family friendly cruise options around these days, all of which include swimming pools, some even large scale on board water parks that it’s not compulsory for cruise companies to employ lifeguards, especially when you consider some of the recent tragedies that have occurred.Norwegian Cruise Line have announced that it will be joining Royal Caribbean and Disney Cruise Lines in employing certified lifeguards at all of the family pools acr...
