On island cruises they dont sell ciggs if your going to barcelona at the port you get cheep booze and ciggs island cruises sell booze but keep it in store till last night 2 years ago we were at gibralter and we got on ship ok with booze and ciggs ok i think its just your luck if you get it past securit.
There is no such thing as duty free. 'Duty free' allowances, within the EU, were abolished years ago. You can buy drink and cigarettes on board the ship.
You buy ashore and when go back onboard it is taken of of you and given back at the end of your cruise this is to stop unwanted conduct by passengers .
If you buy alcohol at a port of call you hand over your purchases on return to your ship this will be stored for you and handed back at the end of your cruise.
I can see how important this is for you. The onboard prices are vey good for "ciggs and bozze" and it will save you struggling back on the ship with all that weight. Just a thought ...if you're flying home remember the luggage weight although you could leave some shoes behind if it's too heavy, Neil's son Fala.
