Costa Fascinosa

OVERVIEW: Costa Cruises is for those who want to enjoy the casual life to the full. It does a good job of providing first-time cruise passengers with a packaged seagoing vacation – particularly for families with children – that’s a mix of sophistication and chaos, accompanied by loud music everywher

AIDAcara

OVERVIEW: AIDAcarais for youthful and young at heart German-speaking couples, singles, and particularly families seeking good value for money in a party-like environment, with good entertainment. This is über-casual cruising, with two main self-serve buffet restaurants instead of traditional waiter

This was the first time that my wife and I have cruised. What an experience! Cruise ship was Azura evening dining in the Oriental Restaurant, faultless food and service. In fact the whole dining experience including the buffet was a real pleasure...  Read More >>

Easiest and best way to see Israel is by www.guidedtoursisrael.com, run by Alon Schneider. Small groups, full days, including Jerusalem and Bethlehem, and knowledgeable guides. Enjoy the experience.

Cairo from any port is best done on ship's tour, especially at the moment. ............... Haifa you can negotiate a taxi or minibus outside the terminal for Nazareth, Gallillee etc. ........ Or take the train a short distance to the town & crusader fort of Acra (various spellings). ............ Ashdod a little more difficult because the taxis at the port seem to have a monopoly so negotiations are a little more one-sided. Jerusalem is about 90 mins away. In the (pedestrians-only) walled city you need a guide cos its a rabbit warren. Free tour (guide expects a tip) at http://www.newjerusalemtours.com/daily-tours/new-jerusalem-free-tour.html ..........Bethlehem is complicated since it's Palestinian-controlled, only tour buses can cross, so you'd need a ship's tour. ..............
